Only Two Roads: Your decision determines your destiny!
Ric Llewellyn
We are all travelers through life. The Word of God makes clear that there are but two roads to travel to our destination. Christ Himself declared this fact in Matthew
7:13,14: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” There are but two ways, the way to life and the way to destruction.
There are but two roads, the narrow and the broad. Everyone is on one road or the other. The Lord has not hidden from us the road to heaven, the way of life, or the path of salvation. In John 10:9 Jesus said, “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.” Again in John 14:6, He said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Christ is the road to life. All who re-ceive Him as Lord and Saviour are on their way to heaven. But the real fact is that not all men are willing to enter the door or go by the way of the Cross of Christ.
Many seek their own way of salvation. Isaiah 53:6 says: “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way.” Solomon adds in Proverbs 14:12: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” Christ is the gate and the way that leads to heaven and everlasting life. Rejection of Christ is the way that leads to death and hell.
On which road are you?
